The Petroleum Engineering Students’ Association (PESA) is the official body representing all students of the Department of Petroleum Engineering, KNUST. Guided by the motto “Sustainable and Clean Energy for Industrial Development,” PESA is committed to promoting academic excellence, professional growth, and unity among its members while fostering innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.
Membership in the Association is automatic for all students enrolled in the Department, forming a vibrant community that works collaboratively to advance student welfare and industry engagement.
PESA operates through a well-structured system comprising the General Assembly, Executive Council, Executive Committee, Judicial Committee, Electoral Commission, Women’s Commission, and other specialized committees, all working together to ensure effective leadership, inclusivity, and student empowerment. The Association’s activities are supervised by the Patron, Adjei Stephen PhD.

Aims And Aspirations
1. To foster closer relations amongst its members and to promote their welfare academically, spiritually, socially, morally.
2. To promote the study of Petroleum Engineering and its role in the development of the country through symposia, industrial trips, seminars, etc.
3. To promote the exploration and production industry through the research of cost- effective and environmentally friendly techniques for energy production.
