Alumni Leadership and Engagement
The Department of Petroleum Engineering, KNUST, is proud to maintain a vibrant and engaged alumni community that continues to play a central role in shaping the Department’s growth, visibility, and impact. Recognising the importance of sustained collaboration between the Department and its graduates, a dedicated team of External Alumni Liaison Officers has been appointed to strengthen connections between alumni, students, faculty, and industry partners.
This four-member team will work closely with the Department’s Alumni Officer to advance key strategic objectives, including:
- Mentorship Strategy: Establishing a structured mentorship programme to connect students with alumni and industry professionals for career guidance, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
- Scholarship Support: Collaborating to identify funding opportunities and sponsorships that enhance access to education through scholarships and bursaries.
- Visibility and Outreach: Enhancing the Department’s local and international profile through alumni-led initiatives, industry engagement, and collaborative events.
Through this leadership structure, the Department aims to build a dynamic alumni network that not only celebrates the achievements of its graduates but also fosters opportunities for mentorship, innovation, and lasting professional partnerships.
We are excited about the journey ahead and deeply appreciate the commitment of our External Alumni Liaison Team, led by Mr. James Allotey, to advancing the shared vision of excellence and impact in petroleum and energy education
